In 1992, founder and Chief Executive Officer Ruth E. Siegfried started our organization with a vision of supporting people whose disabilities and other life circumstances combined to make it nearly impossible to be served by traditional approaches and methods.

They are people who have been moved from one organization to another, always challenging those organizations and the other people served there. They are people whose dreams of living in typical communities are sometimes unimaginable by anyone else. They are people who are so determined to survive that they sometimes threatened everyone around them.

Ruth had developed a great respect for people who have lived with such difficulties and for their persistence in acting out their desire for something different in their lives. She approached the endeavor with a passion for positive approaches to supporting people who experience such challenges: assessment, environment, communications and commitment.

InVision Human Services was created in response to a need for nontraditional approaches to serving people who are particularly difficult to serve. As we have grown, it is evident that our approach to customizing supports for people is a dream of many folks.

Today, we serve hundreds people and use hundreds of different approaches, each one developed for one person and their circle of support. Each person's vision for a successful life becomes our vision, and we do whatever it takes to make that vision a reality.
